In an effort to raise money and bring awareness to homelessness Family Promise of Jax hosted Cardboard City, an opportunity for participants to experience what it is like to be homeless by sleeping in cardboard boxes Friday night, November 11, 2011. Despite a chilly forecast, participants set up their cardboard box houses at the CrossRoad Church on Gate Parkway on the Southside. This is the first time Weber has participated in the event, and says, "I was thinking one whole night in the cold, I'm going to freeze.
